The Young European Movement UK was proud to be represented by our member, Amz, at the Council of Europe International Conference, ‘Shaping Democratic Renewal: Civic Space and the Path to a New Democratic Pact for Europe’, held in Strasbourg from 2-3 February 2026. Bringing together civil society leaders, policymakers, and youth organisations from across Europe, the conference focused on strengthening democratic participation and protecting civic space. Discussions highlighted the critical role youth organisations play in reinforcing democratic resilience, particularly within an evolving digital landscape. YEM UK’s participation ensured that youth perspectives were represented within these important institutional discussions, reinforcing our commitment to advancing democratic engagement and contributing to the future of European democracy.
