The CompletEU Treaty Simulation Event in Bakuriani, Georgia, was something that I cannot simply convey cordially but rather must carry emotion.
I was fortunate to attend this event alongside 3 others from the Young European Movement, having our main objective to enrich ourselves, contribute towards the event and to forge better connections with the other attendees in hopes of creating a reliable network of colleagues to call on for projects. All of these were achieved markedly.
From Kutaisi to Bakuriani, Chiatura, Tskaltubo, and Tbilisi, Georgia was magnificent in every way, and the event has only permitted a further devotion to the cause of helping our colleagues across the ascension states as we understood their struggles, their dreams, and their visions.
As I had learnt during my trip to Strasbourg for the Young European Federalist Congress, there exists a sense of family amongst the broader movement; a sense of solidarity, progress, and togetherness. It is a joy to have affirmed this wonderful feeling quite well within the mountains of Georgia.
My experiences have only proved that at the heart of European cooperation, personal relationships are key rather than institutions and treaties.
It is my solemn hope that, in the coming future of YEM, we get the opportunity to experience events in other ascension states so we may further understand their stories and experiences.
