The Young European Movement team were delighted to deliver a workshop on lobbying your MP to support a Youth Mobility scheme and rejoining ERASMUS+ at the EU Citizens Gathering on Friday 11th July 2025, at the University of Manchester. YEM UK President, Alfred Quantrill, YEM MCR President Adam Hanlon-Jahangeer spoke on a panel alongside Eli Cabero Gouloussi, President of The University of Manchester’s Catalan Society and Moldovan software engineer, Viktor Rusnac where they discussed the importance of Youth Mobility and value it could provide to the UK.

Afterwards, our Youth Engagement Officer, Madeleina Kay delivered an interactive activity, where the audience came up with recommendations on the key issues and messaging that should be included in letters to MPs (or constituent meetings with MPs) to persuade them to support a youth mobility scheme and rejoining ERASMUS+.
We were delighted to be joined by Afzal Khan CBE MP who gave us some great insider advice!
